This colour lithograph from 1900 shows a woman wearing a hat and holding a lorgnette as she leans over a case of prints. Her red hat and orange dress give the scene its warm, lively palette. Made as a postcard on card, it is signed Henri Meunier and dated 1900. The design is credited to Meunier, while the lithograph itself was produced by a printmaker whose name is not given. It sits comfortably within the Art Nouveau tradition of illustrated women in print.
On your wall: Its warm reds and oranges and its small-scale, period feel suit a study, hallway, reading corner or any vintage-inspired room.
