Eadweard J. Muybridge

Eadweard Muybridge was an English photographer, recognised as a pioneer of photographic studies of motion. He broke movement down into sequences of images, allowing viewers to see how bodies and animals move in ways the eye alone cannot follow. He also did early work in projecting moving pictures, helping lay groundwork for cinema.
