Suzuki Harunobu

Suzuki Harunobu was a Japanese designer of woodblock prints in the ukiyo-e style. In 1765 he became the first to produce full-colour prints, which made the earlier two- and three-colour methods obsolete. His subjects ranged from classical poems to contemporary beauties, and his style was widely imitated, even forged, by other artists.
