Keisai Eisen, also known as Ikeda Eisen, was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist who specialised in bijin-ga, pictures of beautiful women. He also wrote under the name Ippitsuan. His strongest work, including his ōkubi-e, close-up portraits focused on the head, is regarded as among the finest of the Bunsei Era, which ran from 1818 to 1830.
