Honeysuckle is a printed fabric designed by William Morris in 1876. As the title tells us, the pattern is drawn from the honeysuckle plant, a favourite subject for floral design. Morris is remembered as an English textile designer, poet and writer, closely linked with the British Arts and Crafts movement and the revival of traditional British textile arts and methods of production. This work is shown as a close-up of the printed cloth, so the detail of the pattern is easy to study.
On your wall: Its botanical pattern suits a living room, study or bedroom, particularly where traditional or Arts and Crafts-inspired interiors are enjoyed alongside natural, softly decorative touches.
