Robert Delaunay painted Still Life with a Parrot in 1907. It is an oil painting on canvas, and a parrot is its subject, set within the traditional format of a still life. Delaunay was a French artist of the School of Paris, and later co-founded Orphism with his wife Sonia Delaunay and others. That movement is known for strong colour and geometric shapes. This painting belongs to the collection of the Unterlinden Museum in Colmar, Alsace.

Robert Delaunay was a French artist associated with the School of Paris. Together with his wife, Sonia Delaunay, and others, he co-founded Orphism, a movement known for strong colour and geometric shapes. His work shows a bold handling of colour and a clear delight in experimenting with depth and tone, and his later paintings grew more abstract.
