Richardsquelle is a poster made by Koloman Moser in 1899. The title points to a spring, and the imagery fits: water, bubbles and shells appear alongside a woman with flowers in her hair. Lettering is part of the design, in the decorative typography typical of Art Nouveau. Moser was an Austrian artist and one of the leading figures of the Vienna Secession, as well as a co-founder of the Wiener Werkstätte, and his influence on twentieth-century graphic art was considerable. This poster comes from the Hans Sachs collection.
On your wall: Its water theme and elegant lettering suit a bathroom, hallway or kitchen, and add a vintage touch to a study or living room.
