Koloman Moser made this lithograph in 1898, printing it in just two colours, red and green. It shows a woman's face in profile with long, flowing hair. Beside her are a leafy sprig of berries and a landscape. The image sits on a journal page and is accompanied by a caption, so it keeps the look of a printed page rather than a standalone picture. Moser was an Austrian artist and a leading figure of the Vienna Secession. He also co-founded the Wiener Werkstätte, and his influence on twentieth-century graphic art was considerable.
On your wall: The red and green palette and the profile portrait suit a study, hallway or sitting room, especially where vintage-style prints and warm, natural tones are already part of the scheme.
