About this artwork
Danse de Moscou is a work by Jean d'Ylen, dated 1920. The title suggests a dance connected with Moscow, and it gives the piece a sense of movement and theatre. It sits comfortably within the tradition of early twentieth-century poster art, where a bold image and a few well-chosen words did much of the talking. For anyone drawn to the look of that era, it offers a pleasing glimpse of d'Ylen's work.
On your wall: It would suit a living room, hallway or study where a touch of vintage character is welcome, particularly alongside other period-style prints.
