About this artwork

Plinio Colombi painted this winter landscape in 1932, working in oil on canvas. The picture is a little wider than it is tall, measuring 75 by 101 centimetres, and it carries the artist's signature and the date. As the title says, it turns to the winter season and its open scenery, a subject that suits the calm, unhurried feel of a landscape painting from the early 1930s.

On your wall: A winter landscape like this suits a living room, hallway or study, particularly where you want a calm, seasonal scene with a vintage feel.
