This is a poster from 1921 by Plinio Colombi, made for the cantonal shooting festival of Bern, held in Interlaken. Shooting festivals of this kind are a long-standing Swiss tradition, and posters like this one announced them to the public. It belongs to a group of Swiss posters of the period that draw on the Alpine landscape, which suits a festival in the Bernese Oberland. The title is set in the lettering and layout typical of its time, giving the work the look of early twentieth-century Swiss graphic design.
On your wall: Well suited to a study, hallway or living room where a vintage Swiss poster can add character, especially in homes that favour retro and Alpine themes.
