This 1928 poster by Roger Broders promotes the funicular from Chamonix to Planpraz and Le Brévent. It shows a cable car and a pylon set below the snow-covered Mont Blanc, with lettering that mentions an altitude of 2000 metres and the view facing the mountain. It was produced for the Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée railway company, for which Broders designed a number of travel posters. The poster was printed in Paris by Lucien Serre & Cie. Broders is best known for posters promoting tourism in France, including the Alps.
On your wall: Its alpine subject and clear lettering suit a hallway, study or living room, and would sit well in a ski chalet or any space with a love of mountains and travel.
