This ukiyo-e woodblock print by Utagawa Hiroshige was made in 1857 and belongs to the series One Hundred Famous Views of Edo. It is no. 84 and sits in the autumn section. A path runs along a hilltop beneath tall pines, and a thatched teahouse stands to the right. Below, the autumn fields stretch out, and Mount Fuji appears in the distance. Hiroshige is regarded as the last great master of the ukiyo-e tradition.
On your wall: Its calm landscape and autumn feel suit living rooms, studies and hallways, and sit well in spaces with natural materials or a quiet, Japanese-inspired look.

Utagawa Hiroshige, born Andō Tokutarō and also known as Andō Hiroshige, was a Japanese artist who worked in the ukiyo-e tradition. He is regarded as the last great master of that tradition, and his name remains closely tied to the form. His prints are a fine way to bring that heritage into a home.
