Paul Klee painted "Into the Cave" in 1929. It is now in the collection of the Detroit Institute of Arts. Klee was born in Switzerland and worked in Germany, and his distinctive style drew on expressionism, cubism and surrealism. The title suggests a movement inward, toward a cave, and invites you to find your own way into the picture.
On your wall: Its modern, abstract character suits studies, living rooms and reading corners where a thoughtful, individual piece can sit comfortably alongside books and simple furnishings.

Paul Klee was a Swiss-born German artist whose style was entirely his own. Over his career he drew on several movements, including expressionism, cubism and surrealism, and blended these influences into work that remains unmistakably his. For a Swiss customer, there is something pleasing in seeing a compatriot's imagination so distinctively at play.
