This poster dates from 1915 and was made in the canton of Zürich by Emil Cardinaux. Its title, Vereinigte Zürcher Molkereien – Hygienische Milch-Versorgung, tells us it advertised the united dairies of Zürich and their promise of a clean, hygienic milk supply. The name Wolfensberger is also associated with the poster. It belongs to the tradition of Swiss commercial posters from the 1910s, when bold lettering and clear messages were used to speak directly to people in the street.
On your wall: A good fit for a kitchen, dining area or café-style corner, and for anyone who enjoys vintage Swiss advertising on their walls.
