A morning view of the port at Antibes, with sailing ships and a lighthouse, painted by Paul Signac in 1914.
No VAT charged. Free delivery in Switzerland from CHF 99. Delivery details
Signac painted this landscape in 1914, and it shows the port of Antibes in the morning. Sailing ships and a lighthouse are among the things to look for as the harbour begins its day. The work is in oil on canvas and belongs to the National Museum in Warsaw. Signac was a French painter who, together with Georges Seurat, helped develop Pointillism, and his name is closely linked with that approach to colour and brushwork.
On your wall: A harbour scene like this suits a living room, study or hallway, particularly where you want a calm, open view of the sea.

Paul Signac was a French painter associated with Neo-Impressionism. Working alongside Georges Seurat, he helped develop Pointillism, a technique in which a picture is built from small, separate touches of colour. His name is closely linked with that approach, and it remains the reason his work is so often discussed today.
